FOR REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL BUS LINES
When purchasing the travel ticket, the passenger accepts all the general conditions of transport listed below, which will be adequately indicated on the Caronna Tour Srl web portals (including any mobile application) and will be accepted when purchasing the service itself.
- Transport Contract
1.1 The contract relating to the Caronna Tour Services concluded by accepting these General Conditions is a transport contract pursuant to art. 1678 of the Civil Code (the “Contract”), by which Caronna Tour undertakes to transport every natural person in possession of a valid Transport Ticket, as defined below (“Passenger”), from the place of departure to the place of destination indicated in the Transport Ticket using the vehicles available to Caronna Tour (the “Buses”).
1.2 The Caronna Tour Services covered by each Contract and the related contractual relationship are governed, in addition to these General Conditions, by Italian law including European Union law, if and to the extent applicable in Italy.
1.3 Each Contract is considered concluded following the issuance of the relevant Transport Ticket following the payment of the full price of the Caronna Tour Service.
- Check-in and boarding
2.1 In order to facilitate check-in and baggage loading operations and to ensure compliance with the departure times scheduled by Caronna Tour, as well as to guarantee safety in the preparatory activities for the start of the journey, the Passenger, unless otherwise indicated by Caronna Tour, must present himself at the station or boarding stop at least 40 (forty) minutes before the scheduled departure time.
2.2 Unless otherwise communicated by Caronna Tour, the Passenger must board the Bus at the point of departure and at the time indicated on the Transport Ticket. In default, the Passenger will lose the right to obtain the Transport Services and any Additional Services purchased.
2.3 In addition to the Transport Ticket, the Passenger must have with him the documentation necessary to make the journey, in compliance with the applicable legislation; It is the Passenger’s responsibility to ensure that they travel with the correct documentation (e.g.: suitable identification document or identity…)
2.4 Caronna Tour reserves the right to refuse boarding of the Passenger or to ask the Passenger to disembark during the Trip if one of the following conditions occurs:
(i) the Passenger does not have a valid Transport Ticket that entitles them to the Transport Service accompanied by a valid travel document; in the event that the purchaser declares under his/her own responsibility that he/she does not have physical availability of the transport ticket despite having regularly purchased it, access on board will be permitted upon presentation of a valid document that allows verification of the purchase of the ticket on the Caronna Tour IT services;
(ii) the Passenger does not comply with the applicable regulations or the obligations arising from these General Conditions, in particular those referred to in Article 6; or
(iii) the transport or continuation of the transport of the Passenger constitutes a clear risk to safety.
(iv) the last journey of the day from Pisa airport to Florence may be subject to delays in relation to the arrival time of the flights. This does not give the passenger any right to make any claim against the carrier. If the flight delay is excessive and the customer is unable to use the last scheduled journey, he/she may use his/her ticket on the next available journey subject to availability.
2.5 In the cases referred to in Article 2.4, Caronna Tour is in no case required to reimburse the Passenger in full or in part or to recognize any form of compensation
2.6 For operational or technical safety reasons, Caronna Tour may reassign seats, even after the start of the Trip. This may occur for example in the case of pregnant women, minors, and Persons with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility (as defined below) for whom there are no suitable free seats available. In this case, it is necessary to follow the instructions of the Driving Staff. The reassignment of seats is carried out without discrimination of race, religion, political belief, skin color, nationality or sex.
2.7 Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 2.4 point i), it is forbidden to board the Bus without a valid Transport Ticket accompanied by a valid document. Anyone who, during a check on board the Bus, is found to be without a valid Travel Ticket will be required to either:
- a) immediately regularize their position, if there are seats available on board the Bus, by purchasing a Transport Service corresponding to the route; the user is entitled to file a complaint using the email address Info@caronnatour.com no later than the 30th day from the date on which the aforementioned Transport Service was provided; Caronna Tour (i) within one (1) month of receiving the complaint, will notify the passenger that the complaint has been accepted, rejected or is still under consideration; (ii) no later than three (3) months from receiving the complaint, will provide the passenger with a definitive response to the same
2.8 Anyone who uses a Transport Ticket with the application of price reductions without being entitled to them or who uses a counterfeit, damaged or illegible Transport Ticket is also considered to be without a valid Travel Ticket.
2.9 In the event of violations of the provisions regarding objects that the Passenger cannot carry with him (e.g. dangerous objects, explosive or flammable materials) or in any case in violation of the following Article 13.6, Caronna Tour will have the right to refuse to carry out the relevant transport, as well as to adopt further measures to guarantee the safety of the Caronna Tour Services and of the Passengers.
3 Booking changes and travel cancellations by the passenger
3.1 The booking can be freely and unilaterally modified and/or cancelled by the Passenger only through the website www.caronnatour.com before departure according to the conditions reported on www.caronnatour.com/modify
3.2 Changes to a booking other than those expressly provided for in the modification section of the website www.caronnatour.com imply the prior renunciation of the booked Trip by the Passenger.
3.3 For each procedure of renunciation of the Trip at the will of the Passenger, any refund due to the Passenger will be provided via the Voucher, obtainable by following the instructions on the website www.caronnatour.com under the conditions reported on the E-Commerce website.
3.4 In the case of a Cumulative Transport Ticket, renunciation of the Trip with reference to only some of the Passengers in the group is not permitted.
3.5 In the event of a booking for a return trip, Caronna Tour recognises the Passenger’s right to waive even just one of the outward and return journeys shown on the Transport Ticket.
4 Service cancellations and refunds
4.1 In the event that the Transport Services are cancelled, delayed for more than one hundred and twenty minutes, or in the event of acceptance of bookings exceeding the seats available on board, the Passenger will also have the option to choose between (i) continuing the Journey or re-routing to the final destination as established in the Contract, at no additional cost, under comparable conditions and in the shortest possible time; or (ii) reimbursement of the price paid for the Transport Ticket. This choice must be exercised by the passenger no later than the departure time of the proposed travel alternative; failure to promptly communicate the refusal of the proposed alternative travel solution is equivalent to acceptance of the same.
4.2 In the event that Caronna Tour is unable to offer the Passenger the choice referred to in the previous Article 4.1, pursuant to art. 19 of EU Regulation no. 181 of 2011, the Passenger will be entitled to an amount equal to 50% (fifty percent) of the price paid for the Transport Ticket, in addition to the reimbursement referred to in Article 4.1 (ii). This amount will be paid by Caronna Tour within one month of the presentation of the Passenger’s request, in cash, unless the passenger accepts, as an alternative, a Compensation Voucher.
4.3 In the event that the Bus becomes unusable during the Trip, Caronna Tour will allow the continuation of the Transport Services on another Bus alternatively (i) resuming the Trip from the point where the Bus is immobilized in the shortest time possible and, in any case, no more than 120 minutes, or (ii) guaranteeing Passengers free transport between the point where the Bus is immobilized to a suitable waiting point or station where it will be possible to continue the Trip.
4.4 In the event of cancellation of the Transport Service or a delay of more than 120 (one hundred and twenty) minutes compared to the scheduled departure time from a Bus stop of the relevant Journey, the Passenger has the right to the continuation of the same, to re-routing or to reimbursement of the price at which the Transport Ticket was purchased pursuant to the following Article 4.5.
4.5 Any cancellation of a Journey at the initiative of Caronna Tour will be governed by the law in force and in particular by Regulation (EU) no. 181 of 2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 2011 on the rights of passengers in transport carried out by bus.
5 Passenger Rights
5.1 Passengers in possession of a valid Transport Ticket are entitled to transport on the route indicated in the Transport Ticket according to the contractual conditions offered to the public, without any direct or indirect discrimination.
5.2 In accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation no. 181 of 2011, the following rights are guaranteed to Passengers who use the Caronna Tour Services:
(i) non-discrimination between passengers with regard to the transport conditions offered by carriers;
(ii) the rights of passengers in the event of accidents arising from the use of buses that cause the death or injury of passengers or the loss or damage of luggage;
(iii) non-discrimination and mandatory assistance for disabled persons or persons with reduced mobility;
(iv) the rights of passengers in the event of cancellation or delay;
(v) the minimum information to be provided to passengers;
(vi) the handling of complaints;
(vii) the general rules to ensure the application of the regulation.
6 Minors
6.1 Children aged between 0 and 2 years may travel on the Buses only in approved child seats. It will be the responsibility of the child’s parent, or whoever exercises guardianship over the child, to bring the child seat on board the Bus and ensure that the child travels in complete safety, also in accordance with the legislation in force on the matter. Caronna Tour will not be held responsible for the suitability and compliance with the law of child seats brought by accompanying adults.
6.2 Children over 2 years of age and under 1.50 meters in height must be secured by the accompanying adult Passengers with child restraint systems that may be present on board the Bus, only if they are of an approved type and only if their use is not incompatible with the child’s height (art. 172, paragraph 6 of the Highway Code).
6.3 If the Bus is not equipped with approved child restraint systems as per Article 6.2 above, minors must be transported using standard seat belts, only if compatible with their height. This provision is valid only for children under 1.50 metres tall and weighing less than 36 kilograms.
6.4 In the event of failure to comply with these provisions, the person responsible for supervising the minor on the Bus is liable. Passengers weighing up to 36 kilograms and up to 1.50 metres tall travelling on Buses used for scheduled services may not be secured with child restraint systems, provided that they do not occupy a front seat and are accompanied by at least one adult Passenger.
6.5 Minors under 14 years of age may travel on all Transport Services only if accompanied by an adult. Parents or those exercising guardianship responsibility for minors under the age of 14 who are travelling to an international destination unaccompanied by at least one of the aforementioned persons and who intend to grant authorisation to a third party of age must sign the “accompanying declaration” which will remain on file at the police headquarters, downloadable at the following link: https://www.poliziadistato.it/statics/31/modulo_dichiarazione_accompagnamento.pdf. The validity of the Travel authorisation is limited to the single Journey (to be understood as outward and/or return) outside the place of residence of the minor under 14, with a specific destination.
6.6 For persons aged between 14 and 18, a written authorisation must be issued by the parents or guardians and attached to the Transport Ticket.
6.7 On authorized national lines, persons between the ages of 14 and 18 may travel unaccompanied by an adult provided that they are in possession of the authorization referred to in the previous Article and provided that the Trip: a) does not take place on a night bus; b) does not involve changes of bus; c) does not involve crossing national borders. In any case, Caronna Tour does not assume any obligation to supervise the minor(s).
6.8 On authorized international lines, minors under the age of 16 are admitted to transport only if accompanied, while persons between the ages of 16 and 18 may travel unaccompanied provided they have a valid document and regular written authorization from their parents or guardians to be attached to the Transport Ticket. The Driving Staff may ask the Passenger to show a valid identity document.
7 People with disabilities or reduced mobility
7.1 Caronna Tour Services are provided without discriminating against persons whose mobility is reduced in the use of transport due to a physical disability (sensory or locomotor, permanent or temporary), mental impairment, or any other cause of disability, or for reasons of age, and whose condition requires adequate attention and adaptation to their specific needs of the service provided to all passengers (the “Persons with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility”). To this end, Caronna Tour complies with the provisions of Regulation (EU) no. 181 of 2011 and performs the assistance services that fall within the scope of responsibility of the carrier pursuant to Annex I to the aforementioned regulation.
7.2 To ensure the feasibility of transporting the Person with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility and his/her companion, it is necessary for the Passenger to inform Caronna Tour of his/her needs before booking no later than 36 hours before the start of the Trip.
7.3 It is understood that Caronna Tour cannot influence/modify the conditions of the infrastructures of the bus stops and stations served by Caronna Tour and, therefore, the relative access of Persons with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility, reason why Caronna Tour cannot provide any guarantee of access nor can it be held responsible for its unavailability.
7.4 The transport of Persons with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility may be refused by Caronna Tour exclusively in the following cases:
(i) to comply with the safety obligations established by EU, international and national legislation or the health and safety obligations established by the competent authorities;
(ii) if the configuration of the bus or the infrastructures or even the stops or stations makes it physically impossible to board, disembark or transport the Person with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility in conditions of safety that can actually be achieved.
7.5 If a Person with a Disability or Reduced Mobility who is in possession of a valid Ticket has been refused permission to board the vehicle because of his/her disability or reduced mobility, the person in question and any accompanying person may choose between:
(i) the right to a refund;
(ii) except where this is not practicable, continuation of the journey or re-routing by reasonable alternative transport services to the destination indicated on the Ticket.
8 Guide dogs and companion
8.1 Guide dogs for the blind or recognized assistance dogs accompanying a Person with a Disability or Reduced Mobility travel free of charge. These animals must wear a muzzle if requested by the driver or another Passenger.
8.2 To ensure the feasibility of transporting the recognized assistance dog of the Person with a Disability or Reduced Mobility, the Passenger must inform Caronna Tour of his/her needs before booking no later than 36 (thirty-six) hours before the start of the Trip.
8.3 To ensure the feasibility of transporting the Person with a Disability or Reduced Mobility and his/her companion, the Passenger must inform Caronna Tour of his/her needs before booking no later than 36 (thirty-six) hours before the start of the Trip.
9 Wheelchairs
9.1 The transportation in the hold of the foldable wheelchair and other walking aids for Persons with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility is free of charge. To verify the possibility of transportation of the wheelchair in the hold as part of a Transport Service, the exact configuration of the wheelchair or other walking aid must be communicated to Caronna Tour before purchasing the Transport Service and with at least 36 (thirty-six) hours’ notice before the departure time of the same. For safety reasons, wheelchairs requested to be transported in the hold must be foldable and not electric.
9.2 For some Transport Services, Caronna Tour makes wheelchair transportation available in the passenger compartment. In order to verify the possibility of transporting the wheelchair in the passenger compartment as part of a Transport Service, the exact configuration of the wheelchair or other walking aid must be communicated to Caronna Tour before purchasing the Transport Service and at least 36 hours in advance of the departure date of the same. In order for wheelchairs to be placed in the passenger compartment, they must, regardless of the date of manufacture, have safety fixing points (so-called force nodes), in accordance with the provisions of the DIN 75078-2 standard as well as an authorisation from the manufacturer in accordance with the DIN EN 12183 or 12184 standard. The Person with a Disability or Reduced Mobility who intends to benefit from the Transport Service by placing his/her wheelchair in the passenger compartment must: a) confirm compliance with the provisions for the transport of the same and b) ensure that the wheelchair is functional and technically designed in such a way that it can be used safely during the Trip.
9.3 The wheelchair must comply with the current official safety requirements prescribed by national, EU and international legislation. If, at the sole discretion of Caronna Tour, the safety of the Trip is compromised, the wheelchair may be refused transportation in the hold. Caronna Tour declines all liability for damages that are attributable to poor technical conditions of the wheelchair.
9.4 Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 11, Caronna Tour will be liable for any loss or damage to wheelchairs, other mobility equipment or assistive devices attributable to it. The amount of compensation pursuant to this Article 9.4 will be equivalent to the cost of replacing or repairing the lost or damaged equipment or devices.
10 Passenger obligations
10.1 On board the Bus, the Passenger undertakes to maintain a calm and quiet behavior, respectful of other Passengers, of the Driving Staff, therefore: (i) he/she will refrain from speaking to the Driving Staff while driving, except to report emergency situations that undermine the safety of the Passengers or of necessity; (ii) he/she will wear and fasten the seat belt; (iii) during the Trip he/she will remain seated in his/her seat, avoiding walking and occupying the central lane; (iv) he/she will respect all safety instructions transmitted by Caronna Tour through the diffusion of audio messages, text messages and/or provided by the Driving Staff; (v) he/she will not undertake the Trip while drunk or intoxicated; (vi) will not consume substances that could disturb other Passengers and/or activate the on-board signalling systems (the consumption of cigarettes and similar products such as electronic cigarettes and heated, non-burned tobacco products, narcotics, alcohol and the intake of illegal substances is prohibited in all areas of the Bus, including the toilets); (vii) will respect the cleanliness of the environment and the services; (viii) will not use the mobile phone in “hands-free” mode; (ix) will not use noisy or sound-producing devices that can be heard by other Passengers; (x) will be in a state of health such as not to compromise the health of other Passengers and will ensure that he is not in a state of psycho-physical alteration due to the intake of narcotic substances and/or alcohol or the abuse of medicines; (xi) will use and activate the safety devices on board the Bus (e.g. emergency hammers, emergency doors, etc.) only in situations of necessity and emergency; (xii) will use the devices and equipment on board (e.g. vending machines, tables, footrests, armrests, etc.) according to their proper use and in such a way as not to cause damage, breakage and/or wear to them or disturb other Passengers. The Passenger accompanying a minor assumes full responsibility for the minor he/she accompanies, also in order to ensure full compliance with the rules of conduct and safety. Caronna Tour declines all liability in the event of damage to Passengers (or third parties) resulting from violation of the foregoing.
10.2 In the event of violation by the Passenger of the obligations and prohibitions imposed on him/her by these General Conditions and/or by Articles 13 et seq. of Title II of Presidential Decree no. 753/1980, Caronna Tour may refuse to provide the Transport Service or suspend it, including through the intervention of the police, if necessary, without any right of the Passenger to reimbursement of the total amount paid for the Transport Service. The Passenger will be held responsible for any and all damages suffered by Caronna Tour and/or third parties due to the aforementioned violations.
10.3 During the Trip, the Driving Staff has full discretion in making stops other than the stops provided for the boarding and disembarking of passengers, in order to comply with safety obligations and compliance with work regulations relating to driving and breaks for drivers (the “Stops”). During the Stops, the Passenger must comply with the following rules: (i) get off the Bus at the request of the Driving Staff or any customs or police authority; (ii) not remove Baggage from the hold, except in duly justified cases and with prior authorization from the Driving Staff (e.g. medical obligation); and (iii) present himself on board the Bus within the end of the Stops duration announced by the Driving Staff. Caronna Tour reserves the right to continue the Journey in the event that the Passenger does not return to the Bus at the end of the scheduled and previously communicated stop time, without being held responsible for the absence of the Passenger himself.
11 Baggage – Provisions applicable to all types of baggage
11.1 The transfer of the Passenger’s baggage is governed by the provisions of this Article 11. It will not be possible to transfer baggage other than Standard Baggage, Additional Baggage and Special Baggage (defined respectively in the following Articles 11.2, 11.3 and 11.4).
11.2 The Passenger is responsible for the boarding and collection of his/her baggage, with the consequence that Caronna Tour cannot be held responsible for any damage, except as provided for in the following art. 11.10, or theft of baggage. Any assistance by the Guide Staff is provided only in exceptional cases and does not justify any right to the same by the Passengers, except in the cases referred to in Article 8.
11.3 The Passenger is obliged to allow the Guide Staff to carry out the necessary checks to ensure that the transportation of the baggage complies with these General Conditions of Sale and Transport.
11.4 In the event that the Passenger has embarked baggage that does not comply with the provisions of these General Conditions, the Passenger must unload such objects at his/her own expense
11.5 Valuable objects, such as, but not limited to, cash, jewelry, precious metals, keys, glasses (sunglasses and/or prescription glasses), electronic devices (laptops, tablets, MP3 players, cell phones, cameras), contact lenses, prostheses, medicines, important documents (diplomas, certificates, passports, driving licenses, securities), etc. and fragile objects must be transported in hand luggage and are subject to the custody of the Passenger.
11.6 It is forbidden to embark on board the Buses dangerous or illegal materials and objects, in particular: (i) explosive, easily flammable, radioactive, smelly or corrosive substances; (ii) unpackaged or unprotected objects that could cause damage to the Passengers or their baggage or to the Bus; and (iii) substances and objects whose possession and/or detention are prohibited by national, community and/or international law, or whose possession and/or detention could be a source of potential dangers for the safety of the Bus as well as for the safety of other Passengers. Generally, furnishings, furniture or parts thereof, and household appliances are excluded from transport.
11.7 It is the Passenger’s obligation to take all necessary precautions to prevent his/her baggage from causing annoyance or discomfort to other Passengers, as well as from causing damage to the baggage of other Passengers or from preventing the continuation of the Journey in safe conditions.
11.8 Passengers are prohibited from carrying weapons and ammunition, with the exception of law enforcement officers and other persons equivalent to them.
11.9 For safety reasons and/or at the request of the authorities, the Passenger may be asked to allow an examination of his/her baggage. If the Passenger refuses to comply with such request, Caronna Tour may refuse to transport the Passenger and his/her luggage.
11.10 Only the loss or damage of luggage due to an accident arising from the use of the Bus will give right to compensation from Caronna Tour for any justified damage for which it is held responsible, in the amounts established by EU Regulation no. 181 of 2011.
11.11 Outside the case of an accident arising from the use of the Bus referred to in Article 13.10, in the event of loss and damage of luggage stored in the luggage compartment, Caronna Tour will be responsible in accordance with the current regulatory provisions and specifically in accordance with art. 2 of Law 450/1985.
14 Standard Baggage
14.1 The carriage of baggage included in the price of the Ticket is limited to no. 1 (one) hand baggage with maximum dimensions of 95 cm (total length, height and depth) and no. 1 (one) hold baggage not exceeding the weight of 20 kg and the dimensions of 105 cm (total length, height and depth) (collectively the “Standard Baggage”). Except in cases of purchase of Additional Baggage and Special Baggage Accessory Services, Caronna Tour will not be required to carry out the transfer of Passenger baggage that does not comply with the Standard Baggage requirements set out in this article and may refuse boarding.
14.2 Hand baggage may be placed in the overhead lockers located above the seats or under the seat occupied by the Passenger.
14.3 The hand baggage and its contents must remain in the custody of the Passenger for the entire duration of the Trip and must be checked by the same, in order to ensure safety on board and not to disturb other Passengers.
14.6 All hold baggage must be adequately packed in suitcases, protective covers, bags or other suitable containers. The packing of baggage is the sole responsibility of the Passengers.
14.7 The hold baggage must be labelled with the Passenger’s details such as name, telephone number and address. The labelling of baggage is the responsibility of the Passenger and is his/her sole responsibility.
15 Additional Baggage
15.1 The Passenger who intends to transfer additional baggage in addition to the Standard Baggage must purchase the relevant Additional Service (if available), which allows the Passenger to obtain the transfer of an additional baggage with dimensions not exceeding 80 x 50 x 30 cm and weighing not more than 20 kg (the “Additional Baggage”).
15.2 The carriage of Additional Baggage is subject to space availability; there is no right to the transfer of more than one Additional Baggage per Passenger.
15.3 Additional Baggage must be booked in advance, at the latest upon departure, through the available channels. A supplementary price will be charged for the carriage of Additional Baggage. The supplement for the Additional Service consisting of Additional Baggage will be shown from time to time during the purchase phase, subject to space availability.
15.4 The transfer of Additional Baggage is limited to no. 1 (one) per Passenger and subject to availability.
16 Special Baggage
16.1 Passengers who wish to transfer baggage larger than the Standard Baggage and Additional Baggage must purchase the relevant Additional Service (if available), which allows the Passenger to obtain the transfer of a baggage, understood as a single unit, exceeding the weight and volume limits of the Standard Baggage and Additional Baggage and in any case with dimensions not exceeding 240 cm resulting from the sum of height + width + depth, and a maximum weight of 30 kg (the “Special Baggage”). The Special Baggage Additional Service is subject to advance booking and confirmation of the possibility of boarding. There is no right of the Passenger to purchase the Special Baggage Additional Service.
16.2 The transfer of Special Baggage is limited to 1 (one) per Passenger.
16.3 It is necessary for the Special Baggage to be registered in advance, at the latest upon departure, through the available channels. A supplement will be charged for the transportation of Special Baggage. The supplement for the Additional Service consisting of Special Baggage will be shown from time to time during the purchase phase, subject to space availability.
16.4 Subject to the exceptions, derogations and specific provisions set out below, the following are always considered Special Baggage and are therefore subject to the provisions of this Article:
(i) bicycles; these can only be transported on certain routes, subject to reservation and availability; the transportation of electric bicycles, pedelecs, tandems and three-wheeled bicycles is not permitted;
(ii) scooters; to be transported, the scooter must be folded and placed in suitable packaging (e.g. bag, case, etc.); skateboards, hoverboards and similar objects are considered equivalent to scooters; the transportation of electric scooters is not permitted.
16.5 Orthopedic aids of the Passenger Person with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility are not classified as Special Baggage and follow the specific provisions set out in Article 9.
17 Musical instruments
17.1 Musical instruments with dimensions (including case) less than or equal to the maximum dimensions allowed for hand luggage may be transported free of charge as hand luggage.
17.2 Musical instruments with dimensions exceeding the maximum dimensions for hand luggage and in any case not exceeding 150 cm resulting from the sum of height + width + depth, and not exceeding 10 kg in weight, may be transported exclusively by purchasing a Transport Service with a Cumulative Transport Ticket reserving a specific seat on the bus for the instrument transported by the Passenger. The Passenger who intends to reserve a seat on the bus for his/her instrument, must repeat, in the “name” and “surname” fields for the additional seat booked, the Passenger’s data.
18 Strollers
18.1 It is possible to transport strollers up to a limit of 1 (one) per Passenger. The strollers must be foldable and transport is free of charge.
19 Animals
19.1 The Passenger may bring with him/her on board the Bus live, non-dangerous domestic animals (such as small dogs, cats and other small pets) weighing no more than 10 kg, with a health booklet, after purchasing a Transport Service with a Cumulative Transport Ticket by reserving a specific seat on the bus for the animal travelling with the Passenger, next to the Passenger’s seat. The Passenger who intends to reserve a seat on the bus for his/her domestic animal must repeat the Passenger’s details in the “name” and “surname” fields for the additional seat booked.
19.2 Animals must be transported in special containers (carriers) which must bear the clear and legible indication of the Passenger’s name and address. One container is permitted for each Passenger, with characteristics suitable for excluding injury to persons and damage to property. The animal must be kept inside the container for the entire duration of the Trip.
19.3 For the transportation of dogs referred to in Article 19.1, the Passenger must be in possession of the certificate of registration in the canine registry. In the case of Passengers coming from foreign countries, the animals must be equipped with the identification systems and passport referred to in Reg. (EU) no. 576 of 2013, where applicable, to be shown upon request by the Driving Staff.
19.4 The Passenger is responsible for the supervision of the animals he/she brings with him/her for the entire duration of the Trip. The Passenger is responsible for any damage (to people and/or things and/or animals) caused by his/her animal.
19.5 Dangerous domestic animals or those affected by diseases transmissible to humans are excluded from transportation.
19.6 The provisions of Articles 19.1, 19.2 and 19.3 do not apply to guide dogs accompanying Persons with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility, in relation to which reference is made to the previous Article 8.
20 Responsibilities
20.1 Caronna Tour will be liable in the event of a proven breach of one of the contractual obligations set out in these General Conditions, the Contract or arising from the law, unless a fortuitous event or force majeure event prevents or hinders the performance of the services due. A fortuitous event or force majeure event means an event that Caronna Tour could not control or reasonably foresee at the time of issuing the Travel Ticket and the effects of which cannot be reasonably avoided.
20.2 Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, Caronna Tour remains exempt from any liability for the following cases: (i) exchange or theft of Baggage; (ii) damage or amplification of damage resulting from inadequate packaging of the Baggage by the passenger and (iii) damage to the Baggage or to the Passenger resulting from negligent action by the latter.
20.3 Passengers are entitled to compensation for death, personal injury and loss or damage to baggage due to an accident arising from the use of Buses during a Trip. For the conditions and amount of compensation, please refer to the applicable national legislation and to art. 7 of EU Regulation no. 181 of 2011. No automatic compensation or indemnity is provided. The Passenger – in accordance with the above-mentioned legislation and within the limits set out therein – will be entitled to compensation only for damages that are proven. Following an accident arising from the use of Buses during a Trip, Caronna Tour will provide reasonable assistance proportionate to the immediate practical needs of the Passenger following the accident itself. The assistance provided does not in any way constitute recognition or admission of liability.
21 Complaints
The passenger may make a complaint personally by providing a copy of an identity document and the intact travel document. This complaint must be submitted by email to the address: info@caronnatour.com no later than 30 days from the date of the travel document.
